Preparing for College Class

Graduating from High School is an exciting time—but also an uncertain time in life. This class will focus on giving recent high school graduates the necessary skills to do well in college BEFORE they begin college.


  • Who: Recent high school graduates who plan to attend college in the fall
  • When: June 10, 17, 24 and July 8, 15, 22 from 4-5:30 pm. – In-Person.

  1. Class 1: Safety on a College Campus
  2. Class 2: Understanding the Brain’s Executive Functions
    Setting Up Successful Supports (Organization and Planning)
  3. Class 3: Self-Determination and Self-Advocacy
  4. Class 4: Self-Management (Physical and Emotional)
  5. Class 5: Making and Keeping Friends
  6. Class 6: Problem-Solving and Seeking Help
