Nancy Wainscott-Whitehead is an autism specialist who has worked with people with developmental differences over for 25 years. She initially was trained in discrete trial therapy as well as verbal behavior. Nancy has provided early intervention services both in home and in the clinic setting. Over the years, Nancy realized that there was a need for services for teens and adults. Nancy currently provides individual, as well as, group therapy. She is also an approved provider of ASD Supports for Texas Workforce Solutions-Vocational Rehabilitation Commission.
Nancy understands the need to address executive functioning, skills as well as, the delays that are typically present in the area of emotional intelligence. She facilitates multiple social interaction and training groups weekly. Individually, she sees older children, teenagers, and adults will all types of developmental differences.
Nancy has been recognized by the Autism Society receiving the Therapist of the year award, as well as being recognized by the Fort Worth business press with the Health Care Hero award. Nancy holds a degree in Mental Health and Clinical Counseling Psychology. She is also a licensed LCDC. Nancy is married and has a 17-year-old stepson. She is also is a proud owner of Sophie, the office comfort dog.
